FOUR PLEDGES. FIRST 100 DAYS.
Reform UK East Surrey highlights the party’s proposals for its first 100 days in government.

EDUCATION PLEDGE
Cut the number of student loans issued by 20%, targeting courses assessed as having poor graduate employment and earnings outcomes. Existing students would be able to finish their courses.
- Lift the cap on medical school places while maintaining entry standards, allowing more
qualified British applicants to train as doctors. - Apply 0% interest to loans for British nursing students and British nurse graduates
working in the NHS. - Use savings from changes to student loans to support apprenticeships, including the
separately announced wage credit and retention bonus.

CUT ENERGY BILLS PLEDGE
The commitments below summarise the party’s published 100-day pledge. Figures and outcomes are the party’s estimates and proposals.
- The party pledges to reduce a typical household energy bill by more than £250 a year.
- It proposes removing carbon charges affecting electricity generation, estimating a saving
of about £90 per year. - It proposes moving certain policy costs from household bills to the Treasury, estimating a
saving of about £80 per year. - It proposes permanently removing VAT from domestic electricity and gas bills, estimating
a further saving of about £90 per year. - The document says these measures would be taken within the first 100 days of a Reform
UK government.

STOP THE BOATS
Launch Operation Fortress immediately and deploy the Royal Navy to the English
Channel.
- Create a naval-led joint forces command and an integrated surveillance command to
track boats in real time. - Introduce emergency legislation to give the armed forces the powers the plan calls for.
- Intercept boats and transfer people at sea for escorted return to the French or Belgian
coast, according to the party’s proposal. - The document says Operation Fortress would operate alongside its separate Operation
Restoring Justice policy.
